POSITION SUMMARY

Administrative Support Assistant
Salary $29,613 – $37, 193
(GS-3 – 5 equivalent per education requirement)

This position supports The Battle Buddy System, Inc. by performing all administrative services. The incumbent will support the President, the Vice President and the Secretary and others with administrative tasks such as tracking and compiling information of interest, prepare various reports detailing the administrative information handled by the position, reads and answers correspondence and may sometimes handle confidential information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides responsible and complex administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned area of responsibility
• Processes and proofreads a wide variety of reports, letters, memoranda and statistical charts; types from rough draft or verbal instruction; may independently compose correspondence related to assigned responsibilities
• Maintains a calendar of activities, meetings and various events; coordinates activities with Federal, state and other local government departments, the public and other entities
• Screens office and telephone callers; provides front counter assistance, including accepting applications and/or forms, providing information, or accepting payments; respond to and resolve complaints and requests for information on policies, procedures, systems and precedents relating to assigned responsibilities
• Attends a variety of meetings; prepares and compiles agenda packets; takes and prepares minutes; transcription; disseminates information, as appropriate
• Maintains detailed and accurate records; provides, creates and submits reports as required
• May prepare and maintain payroll
• Maintains non-profits’ filing, records and rosters; develops, implements and modifies filing systems
• Operates a variety of office equipment including copiers, facsimile machine and computer; inputs and retrieves data and text; organizes and maintains disk storage and filing
• Maintains inventory of supplies; obtains estimates for ordering purposes; orders supplies as needed; ensures compliance of policies and procedures
• Prepares a variety of documents for the purchase of supplies and equipment
• Performs related work as required

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Have successfully completed at least two (2) years of college coursework in business administration, public administration or a related field from an accredited college;
• One (1) to three (3) years performing intermediate administrative work. Additional qualifying experience or completion of coursework at an accredited college or university in a job-related field, may substitute on a year-for-year basis for one year of the required experience or education.
• Position subject to a drug testing, credit check and suitability.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Non-Essential Employees will not be required to work during a declared emergency but may be required to work in some capacity after the declared emergency. The employee’s Department Head will determine when the employee will be required to work.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The position is generally sedentary. Employees sit most of the time, but may walk or stand for brief periods of time.

POSITION SUMMARY

Veteran Center Coordinator
Salary $46,070 – $68,182
(GS-7 – 11 equivalent per education requirement)

This position acts on behalf of The Battle Buddy System, Inc. and has a programmatic understanding of The Battle Buddy System and its programs. The Veteran Center Coordinator is responsibility for veterans’ training through the VBOCs cooperative agreement and co-sponsored events as needed. Connects and amplifies the activities and objectives of the VBOCs and other programs and initiatives led by The Battle Buddy System.

• Develops circulculm for military communities, assess the community’s needs, and refer to the appropriate program contact. This includes involvement with area VA systems, regional veteran community events, and additional supporting agencies and nonprofit organizations.
• Tracks and refers potential participants using standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Main Point of Contact for Boots 2 Business (B2B) and ReBoot personnel.
• Coordinates trainings and events for B2B and ReBoot.
• Uploads appropriate service member and case information to the case management system.
• Updates the case management system regularly with correspondence logs and interactions.
• Recruits service member, veteran and family member participants for local event Opportunities.
• Liaisons and points of contact for all Federal, State, local events.
• Liaison between local service members, families and other Battle Buddy System staff.
• Tracks metrics to be reported to the Battle Buddy System VBOC Director and other staff.
• Attends and supports military outreach events.
• Assists the Community Relations Coordinator with larger events within the local community and periodically attend.
• Communicates referrals and client information effectively to receiving program staff to ensure client’s needs are recognized and addressed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Marketing Manager
Salary $13.00 – 17.00 per hr.
(part-time)

This position supports The Battle Buddy System, Inc. by focusing on strategic content for creation of our brand to share through various platforms including social media (Pinterest, Facebook, Facebook Groups, Quick Friends, Instagram, and Twitter, etc.), advertising, marketing emails, and our website. Content creation will need to align with growth opportunities, business trajectories and company values. The goal of this role will be to connect our brand with the customer to create brand loyalty, respect and sales.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Creating content to be shared on all platforms.
• Branding through the visual storytelling the content creates across our social channels, advertising, e-blasts, website, etc.
• Organizing and maintaining relevant information on all social media accounts.
• Drive social media growth and engagement.
• Scheduling daily/monthly/weekly content placements on social media platforms or as needed.
• Plan, shoot and edit content for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Storyboard, plan and execute photo and video shoots.
• Collaborate with team to concept and shoot creative content.
• Performs related work as required

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Has at least two (2) years of video and photography experience. Must have experience and knowledge of majority of social media content in today’s modern society.
• Able to adapt and thrive in every changing and fast-paced environment.
• Able to travel on short notice.
• Experience working in a professional photo environment with editing experience. Must be able to do retouching and color correcting.
• Coursework in business administration, public administration or a related field from an accredited college;
